Initial Psychiatric Evaluation
A comprehensive initial assessment focused on understanding your history, current symptoms, concerns, and goals. This visit includes a detailed psychiatric history, discussion of treatment options, and collaborative planning.
Initial evaluations are unhurried and structured to allow time for questions, clarification, and shared decision-making. This usually takes about an hour.
Initial psychiatric evaluations are typically conducted in person to allow for a more comprehensive assessment. Telehealth evaluations may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Medication Management
Many people begin mental health treatment through their primary care provider and continue on medications that may not be fully addressing their symptoms. If things feel “okay but not great,” or if progress has stalled, a psychiatric evaluation can help explore other options and fine-tune treatment in a more targeted way.
Follow-up visits focus on monitoring progress, evaluating effectiveness and side effects, and making thoughtful adjustments to treatment over time. Medication decisions are evidence-based and made collaboratively, with attention to safety, sustainability, and your individual goals.
Visit frequency is individualized and discussed together as part of ongoing care.

Supportive Care
Brief supportive therapy is integrated into medication management visits when appropriate. This may include psychoeducation, coping strategies, and space to reflect on symptoms and progress as part of treatment.
This practice does not provide weekly or long-term psychotherapy. Patients seeking ongoing therapy are encouraged to work with a licensed therapist alongside medication management.
