In-person and telehealth care
Appointments are offered both in person and via telehealth.
Initial psychiatric evaluations are typically conducted in person, as this allows for a more comprehensive assessment. Telehealth evaluations may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Follow-up visits may be completed either in person or via telehealth, depending on clinical needs and patient preference.
-
What to expect
Care at Up Ahead Psychiatry emphasizes clear communication, shared decision-making, and thoughtful follow-up. Appointments are structured but unhurried, with time for questions and discussion.
As part of a comprehensive evaluation, prior treatment records may be reviewed when available. In some cases, laboratory testing may be recommended to help rule out medical factors that can contribute to psychiatric symptoms, such as thyroid abnormalities or vitamin deficiencies.
Treatment plans are individualized and revisited over time, with a focus on effectiveness, safety, and long-term sustainability.
Reliable communication matters. Medication questions and refill requests are reviewed regularly, and care is structured to minimize missed refills or unnecessary delays whenever possible.
-
Medication approach
Medication decisions are made collaboratively and based on clinical appropriateness, safety, and evidence-based practice. Prescriptions, including controlled substances, are not guaranteed and are evaluated on an individual basis.
-
Office location and parking
In-person appointments are held at Chicory House, a values driven therapeutic collective. Chicory House is at 522 Franklin Street in the heart of Allentown.
Off-street parking is available on site, which helps reduce the stress of finding parking before appointments. Additional details will be shared prior to your first in-person visit.
This office setting is designed to feel calm, professional, and supportive.
